Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Assists the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and Senior Manufacturing Engineer with planning and
coordinating manufacturing processes in the shop by performing the following duties.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions of the Position) the following description has been

Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing and rework methods.
Confers with Director of Operations and/or Shop Supervisors concerning part design and tooling to ensure efficient
production methods.
Confers with vendors and customers to determine chemical milling and other specifications and arrange for
purchase of equipment, materials, or parts, and evaluates products according to specifications and quality
Assist in Estimating production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for
management decisions.
Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules,
and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential. Trains Shop personnel on manufacturing methods as required

Senior Level:
Interface with customer's engineers
Work with a greater level of independence

Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or five to
seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Senior Level: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year college and 8+ years of experience
Competencies Verification/Testing

Knowledge/Abilities/ Skills/Tools: Working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, assembly tooling and chemical
milling. Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret blue prints, manufacturing plans, specifications and purchase orders,
professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports business
correspondence, and procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of
managers, clients, customers. Ability to apply aerospace geometry and trigonometry concepts. Ability to define problems,
collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in
mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to contribute/participate on
cross-functional, problem solving teams. Computer skills: Microsoft Office; Excel and Word

Senior Level: Ability to work independently, with a higher level of judgment making skills
