Job Description


(Essential Functions of the Position) the following description has been
provided as examples of the types of work performed by employees assigned to
this job classification. Management reserves the right to add, modify change or
rescind the work assignments of different positions in accordance to Ducommun
Aerostructures business needs, and to make reasonable accommodations so that
qualified employees can perform the essential functions of the job. Each job
function will be conducted within the quality standards described in the
Ducommun Aerostructures Quality Statement. Follow all safety rules. Other
duties may be assigned

Visually inspects parts

Rack parts for cleaning or masking at correct angles and attitudes to ensure
adequate spacing for rinsing, liquid run off and maskant thickness/uniformity

Clean parts by using various items such as cleaning materials, solvents and
abrasive paper

Jitterbugs, polishes parts by using such equipment as handtools, power tools,
hoists, and sprayers

Punches/drills holes in parts to for attachment to loading racks/bars for
masking and cleaning operations

Verifies part surface condition for maskant thickness and identifies maskant

Conduct Clad check testing

Transport parts/jobs to other departments by safely using/operate appropriate
carts, forklift and other equipment Assists Lead person, Sr. Chem Mill Masker
and other department members

To perform this job successfully, an

Knowledge/Abilities/ Skills/Tools: Ability to read and comprehend SOP's, Shop
drawings, chem mill templates, and parts specification. Ability to write simple
correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one
format. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and
divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to apply common sense understanding to
carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal
with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
