Job Description

Lead design, verification and test projects for radio frequency, microwave, and millimeter wave electronics for commercial, military, and space-based components and systems, including electro-mechanical switches, frequency converters, amplifiers, PIN diode Switches, Receivers, and Transceivers.
Perform requirements and interface definition, design for test, hands-on testing, performance and design verification, for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.
Teach/mentor junior engineers and technicians on making RF/microwave/millimeter wave test measurements and review test results.
Support production and resolve anomalies that occur during manufacturing and test
Support external and internal suppliers in development of components to ensure compliance to requirements
Define, perform, and review analyses using appropriate analytical tools to ensure design requirements are met.
Develop and validate electromagnetic requirements for electrical\\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects, and packaging.
Perform complex trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component, interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around established requirements.

Define and conduct critical tests of various kinds to validate performance of designs to requirements.

Provide support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by providing guidance and support to resolve complex issues.
Support projects by providing budget, schedule, and other required inputs and conducting appropriate reviews.
Generates major sections of proposals to support development of new business
Oversight of test systems design and development

Skills & Qualifications


Experience in ECAD/MCAD tools (Microwave office, ADS, Ansys HFSS, Siwave, labVIEW, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc).
Millimeter-wave hybrid design experience.
Millimeter-wave electronics test experience.
Mechanical design experience including Materials, Tolerance Stack-up Analysis, Thermal Analysis, and Stress Analysis
Experience leading a team of engineers and technicians.
Experience with test with measurement equipment (Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, etc.)
Experience with design/build of electronics for a space environment.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics required.
Seven (7) or more years of technical experience in the field of RF electronics design and RF/Microwave/millimeter wave test is required. Strong mechanical background familiar with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and GD&T.
