Job Description

Job Summary & Essential Functions:
Primary function is to provide On The Job Training (OJT) to new hires; provide training to employees who transition to new programs; provide re-instruction and refresher OJT to assist employees with improving quality and performance; identify and capture best practices working with engineering and operations to ensure critical knowledge and skills are documented.

Provide on the job training for new employees to the production floor.
Professional and credible resource for new hires for questions and support to assist in the new hire assimilation into the workforce.
Subject matter expert in the assembly process.
Perform high quality and detailed tasks ensuring high first pass yield and efficiency.
Read and interpret work instructions and process procedures.
Read and understand blueprints and drawings.
Work overtime and support production schedules as required.
Meets all requirements as needed for process operations including all required tasks, certifications, process procedures and other knowledge, skills and abilities required for the Electromechanical Assembler I, II, III.

Completion of all tasks, certifications, procedures, and other knowledge, skills and abilities required as outlined in the position training matrix.
Ability to work and promote safety of oneself and other coworkers.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be a US Person for ITAR regulated facilities.
Retrieving and interpreting documents in PLM, EPL, WL, Drawing packages, and PEIs.

Operating in Putty
Hardware and general stack up
How to identify and calibrate specific tools needed for jobs including torque tool operation
Interpreting wire lists
Interpreting schematics
Interpreting and applying work instructions
Expert in various soldering techniques including :  through hole, surface mount, remove and replace, hot plate

Preferred Skills
Wire / Crimp
Cable Splicing
Crimping contacts
Routing and combing of wire/harness
Learn how to operate air tools for crimps

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.  List in bullet fashion what they must possess. 

Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.

Office environment and light manufacturing environment
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Ability to travel to other sites occasionally
