Quality Analyst

Job Summary & Essential Functions: The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position. This position is responsible for the auditing and administration of the aerospace based Quality Management System, document control and training program. Ensure procedures, processes and training are in place throughout entire facility.  Guarantee that 3rd party certifications meet all the requirements of AS-9100, NADCAP and or customers specifications as applicable.

Essential Functions

% of Time

• Manage and control all quality records including but not limited to scanning, long term storage and retrieval of records

• Submit MRR tags to customer for disposition.

• Review procedures, work instructions for adequacy and compliance.

• Prepares paperwork and schedules customer source inspection.


• Maintains and works in conjunction with quality department to continually improve the Quality Management System

• Control, maintains and distribute inspection stamps.

• Conducts in internal audits.

• Maintains and updates issue Material Charts, schedules annual eye exams, and issues periodic test to pertinent plant personnel.


• Establishes effective communications channels that ensure the flow of quality related information to internal and external customers as required

• Partners with Operation leaders to develop new quality performance metrics as necessary


• Assists in development of strategic and tactical plans to ensure achievement of department and company goals

• Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

• Other duties as assigned

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints or mechanical drawings
  • Strong statistical and mathematic skills

•         Experience in manufacturing environment; preferably from automotive, aerospace and /or defense environments

  • Works independently with minimal supervision

    Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.  List in bullet fashion what they must possess. 

•         High School Diploma; Minimum 3 years related experience in job function and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Minimum of (3) years technical/quality experience is required, preferably within the aerospace industry.

  • Good math skills, familiarity with personal computer, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, Internet, and Baan (MRP system) required
