Job Description

Reporting to the Performance Center Controller, this position will be responsible for analyzing site financial performance and program costs, supporting daily transactions, operations analysis, month-end journal entries, and account reconciliations.

Finance Responsibilities:

Manage monthly close process including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and review activities.
Ensure all financial deadlines and ad hoc reporting are met.
Assist with setting cost accounting rates, rolling standards, and analyzing variances.
Distribute weekly Labor Hour Variance report between ERP system and Payroll system and research/communicate any variances to plant supervisors.
Review and prepare month end accruals.
Assist with capital acquisition processes.
Monitor daily and weekly cycle counts and assist with quarterly physical inventory.
Manage inventory adjustments and review/approve the requests from Material Control.
Prepare monthly labor utilization report and overhead rate analysis by work center.
Assist with annual operating plan.
Communicate and bridge between customers, vendors, and the shared service team.
Ensure Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) internal controls are reviewed, updated, and followed.
Assist with internal/external audits and respond to inquiries.
Support other functions as necessary.
Perform other assignments as required.

Skills & Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Self-starter capable of interacting closely with Production, Materials, Engineering, and Sales as well as the ability to quickly identify and solve complex problems.
Exceptional organization skills are required with emphasis on attention to detail.
Government accounting experience helpful.
Strong sense of urgency and be conscientious about quality of work.
Proficient in MS Excel and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal skills to interact with people at all levels and
functions within and outside the company.
Solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), including confidentiality and ethical standards.
