Supervisor, Maintenance/Facilities
Job Description
To coordinate and oversee the safe, secure, and environmentally-sound operations and maintenance of the entire facility in a cost effective manner aimed at long-term preservation and preventive maintenance. Oversee them maintenance team and provide determining workload, delegating assignments, training, monitoring and reviewing work performance for quality, accuracy and completeness.
Supervises and trains maintenance team on a day to day basis.
Ability to supervise various facilities projects and maintenance vendors for a facility that requires a high level of attention and cleanliness.
Specifies and purchases all needed mechanical parts required for repairs and modifications.
Coordinates and acts as liaison between contractor(s) and DAS.
Reviews and/or inspects work for quality, accuracy, and completeness
Establish a preventative maintenance program throughout the facility
Establishes, maintains, and enforces mechanical preventative maintenance programs.
Does annual reviews of each member of the maintenance team.
Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money
Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
Supervising and leading preventative maintenance to ensure minimum disruption to core activities
Supervising and planning essential central services such as maintenance, security, maintenance, cleaning, catering, waste disposal and other items as required
Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements
Planning best allocation and utilization of space and resources for current premises
Checking that agreed work by staff or contractors has been completed satisfactorily and following up on any deficiencies
Using performance management techniques to monitor and demonstrate achievement of Lean and Six Sigma practices
Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise.
Skills & Qualifications

Experience in Lean, continuous improvement activities, APICS certification, CPIM a plus
Ability to lead a group of people in a constructive, productive, fair manner
Ability to manage numerous people and meet deadlines as required
Strong analytical and communications skills
Conscientious, organized and meticulous – records must be accurate and maintained in a timely manner
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision. Meet deadlines.
Ability to work under pressure
BS in Business Administration, Operations Management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum ten (10) years experience implementing and managing facilities and maintenance
