Job Description

Leads the Supply Chain group to achieve the best value for the business including on-time delivery and quality product.  The individual is on the Monrovia Leadership Team and works with the other team members to deliver results to all customers, shareholders and employees.

  • Manage Materials Management for on-time customer deliveries to the line on-time with quality

    • Key Member of Sales and Operations Planning process

    • Manage shop floor control and master schedule maintenance to ensure adequate WIP control and meet customer delivery requirements

    • Develop stocking strategies internal and at suppliers to support inventory, service levels, and customer delivery

    • Lead and drive inventory turnover and continuous improvement requirements

  • Supplier Management

    • Lead the supplier management & selection with supplier scorecards, supplier assessments & RRR – ASL Management – AS9100

    • Convert and communicate customer needs into business language of the supply base through contract flow down, forecasting, and supplier contracts and LTA’s structured on Customer POPs

    • Align best value statement from suppliers

    • Ensure compliance to SOX and AS9100 regulations and other customer requirements

  • NPI Support

  • Provide quality inputs into internal customers for bid & proposal supplier participation; maintenance of ERP system for purchased components

  • Lead make/buy decision

  • Direct organizational development and training needs for the supply chain workforce

  • Maintain, drive adherence to Policy, Procedure, and Process Administration

  • Lead continuous improvement efforts through Six Sigma and Lean coordination

  • Manage the supply chain budget (indirect and direct) to meet or exceed AOP

Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in Lean, continuous improvement activities

  • Ability to manage numerous people in a constructive, productive and fair manner and meet deadlines as required

  • Strong analytical and communications skills

  • Conscientious, organized and meticulous – records must be accurate and maintained in a timely manner

  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision to meet deadlines

  • Ability to drive relentless root cause analyses

  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office

  • Six Sigma and / or Lean Certified; Supply Chain Certification, preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, supply chain, or other related degree

  • Ten years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment with increasing levels of responsibilities including supervision and management experience

  • Minimum of 3 years ERP system experience

  • Knowledge of aerospace company specifications and practices
