Job Description

Job Summary & Essential Functions:  

Provide test engineering for facility. Support Test Engineering function by providing guidance and support to other test engineers.      

•       Manage all aspects of medium projects

•       Act as project lead and take proactive initiative for improvements

•       Perform analysis, diagnostics and preliminary evaluations of products; develop testing procedures

•       Perform test equipment and fixturing design responsibilities

•       Perform maintenance resolution on testing procedures

•       Analyze customer requirements and develop testing procedures

•       Create assembly instructions, Bill of Materials (BOM), and drawings

•       Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members

•       Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.

•       Perform other assignments as required

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications: 

•       Demonstrates knowledge of design concepts and 1st order simulation

•       Meet all the KSA’s of Test Engineer 1:

o   Knowledge of basic manufacturing test processes

o   Troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

o   Proficient in technical writing, good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical; ability to read and interpret engineering drawings required

o   Prior experience with an ISO environments is a plus

o   Demonstrated analytical expertise including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities

o   Understanding of DOE, 6-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing desired

o   Working knowledge at an intermediate level of computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Microsoft Project

o   Ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business

o   Flexible with high energy, able to handle multiple tasks smoothly

o   Demonstrated knowledge of basic manufacturing and assembly processes; together with work measurement and work standards

 Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:  

•       BSEE or BSEET degree from accredited school; an appropriate two-year degree may be considered

•       4-6 Years of experience as working engineer with experience in test fixturing and automated test features. Exposure to ICT and Flying Probe

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

•       Moderate noise levels

•       Light manufacturing environment

•       Occasional overnight travel – extended durations of up to five days
