Reports To: Performance Center Controller                              FSLA Status:  Non-Exempt

 

Job Summary & Essential Functions:   Perform routine accounting activities related to Payroll, Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Fixed Assets, Weekly Reporting, Month End Close Activities, Accounts Payable, various accounting reporting and record keeping.

Essential Functions

 

Process customer invoices and maintain A/R by working closely with Corporate A/R, Program Managers and Customer A/P to ensure timely resolution and collection of outstanding A/R

Assist with cash allocations

Maintains A/R Aging and runs weekly reports

Maintains invoice logs

Communicates issues, trends and collection of cash advances

Performs fixed asset audit and tagging of assets

Backup and support Accounts Payable

Assist with PWC, SOX, Internal Audit requests and performs other duties as assigned to support the department

Timely check and validation of employee hours from KABA, assists supervisors with issues, runs payroll reports, collects approved PTO and sends to Corporate for processing.

Maintain files for labor hours

Run weekly reports

Month end Closing responsibilities include creating and keying journal entries

Reconcile various general ledger accounts with supporting details

Maintain department month end close records and obtaining required sign offs

Create and maintain work instructions, as needed.

Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area. 

 Responsible for maintaining a proactive safety environment in one’s work area

Problem solving skills

Computer literate in all Microsoft and Outlook programs.  Prefer advanced skills in Excel.

Ability to learn and navigate software programs, run reports and maintain accurate records

Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities timely and efficiently within a rapidly changing environment.

Ability to work overtime and/or weekends, as needed.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered. 

High School diploma or GED required; 2 yr. or 4 yr. college or business administration degree preferred, but not required.

1 year of accounting or administrative experience required; 2 – 4 years of progressive accounting or administrative experience preferred.

Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of the job.  Include things such as safety glasses, safety shoes and other designated personal protective equipment as required for the position. 

Office environment and light manufacturing environment

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required. 

Ability to travel to other sites occasionally
