Job Description

Job Summary & Essential Functions:  

  • Provide engineering support to meet current and future manufacturing requirements.   
    • Ownership of SMT placement programs Develop programs using CAM software
    • Assess overall line balance and update programs as required
    • Modify programs based on Engineering Change Orders
    • Modify Performance routers to include SMT placement information
    • Update weekly SMT placement information
  • Ownership of AOI inspection programs
    • Develop programs using YesTech software
    • Modify programs based on Engineering Change Orders
    • Modify programs based on new manufacturing sources
    • Evaluate existing programs for template efficacy
    • Ensure consistency of programs across multiple customers
    • Assess fault coverage for AOI programs and provide feedback to engineering group
    • Ownership for global part library
    • Develop and generate manufacturing work instructions and procedures
    • Design and develop tooling, fixtures and other manufacturing aids
    • Adhere to General Requirements of Team Members
    • Responsible for the proper handling and management of hazardous waste generated in their work area.
    • Perform other assignments as required

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications:    

  • Basic computer skills (Excel and Word). Basic Access skills per location requirements

  • Ability to operate electronic test equipment specifically including oscilloscopes, function generators, and digital volt meters

  • Ability to read and interpret wiring drawings and schematic diagrams

  • Ability to read and interpret engineering assembly drawings

  • Ability to read and understand production drawings

  • Basic soldering skills

  • Ability to build electronic assemblies

  • Abilities listed in General Requirements of Team Members

  • Must be able to differentiate colors
