Job Description

Responsible for determining optimal manufacturing methods and process for producing company products that meet cost and delivery targets for each program. Implement and validate time standards for various operations and processes. Responsible for process conformity of contractual flow down requirements.  Works closely with PLM and Design Engineering on new product introduction.  Support special projects and problem solving for quality and process issues.  Ability to have clear communication with senior internal and external customers required.

  • Coordinate with Product Line Manager the preparation of proposal and execution of process improvement/new development plan.

  • Performs process improvements as assigned.

  • Upgrade processes to improve predictability to support process time standards.

  • Understand and be able to train operators with specific assembly process functions.

  • Perform manufacturing engineering functions such as tool design, control and process documenting such as writing traveler instructions and making assembly aids.

  • Maintains and updates standard work procedures and documentation for department.

  • Understanding of the competitive landscape and competitors strategies to reduce cost of manufacturing.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to plan and develop fact base data driven assembly / test area improvements with clear expectations.
  • Implement plans with track and measure performance data to show improvement and confirm process controls are working.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet competing or short-notice deadlines consistently.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Hands on performer to monitor and train operators for process optimization.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of the aerospace market motor and resolver products.
  • Ability to utilize business essential tools including ERP systems (Infor ERP Visual experience a plus).
  • Versatile to work as assigned on special tiger teams.
  • Ability to effectively communicate among all levels within the organization.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college in engineering related discipline.
  • Minimum appropriate experience (6+ years) in relevant markets with demonstrated results in process improvement and sustainability for new and existing products in like environment.
  • Must be US Person or Permanent Resident
