Job Summary & Essential Functions:

The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position.

This position plans and coordinates quality control requirements for new work
statements to ensure manufacturing of products consistent with customer
requirements and established standards by performing the duties listed below.
This position is responsible for creating AS9102/FAI plans for all new
products. This position works cooperatively with Project Engineering personnel
on new work statements.  
Perform an analysis of customer engineering, quality, specification and process
requirements for new work packages.  
Determine root cause and corrective action of non-conforming product and disposition
MRR in Baan. ERP System

Perform customer purchase order review to understand customer quality requirements
and ensure they are flowed to the appropriate personnel in our organization.
Prepare AS9102/FAI plans for all new products and parts which require a partial-FAI
Review and approve master engineering planning; determine whether inspection steps
and criteria in planning are appropriate and take necessary action if it is
Investigate customer complaints regarding quality and determine cause and decide on
corrective actions to be taken to prevent recurrence.
Develop methods of incorporating specialized customer requirements into new work and
educate cell inspectors on these requirements.

Prepare various customer required Quality forms and documents.
Review and approve Ducommun-created engineering drawings and mylars.


Skills & Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum five years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering discipline or a technical field, required.
minimum five years direct related experience preferred. 
Knowledge and experience in blue print reading and interpretation, welding and fabrication standards required.
Experience with Model Based Definition and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing strongly desired.
Aerospace experience preferred.
