Job Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Intern is an entry level position within the HR Shared Services structure. This role will

assist with the talent acquisition process to ensure an ongoing source of key talent and a continuous recruiting effort in support of the needs of the organization. The Talent Acquisition Intern will utilize the preferred human capital management system to fill resource needs across the performance centers including direct labor and overhead positions. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Recruit, screen, qualify, interview candidates, and conduct background investigations and reference checks for designated key positions.
  • Source qualified diverse candidates through a variety of methods including advertisements, professional organizations, internet sources, technical schools, colleges, industry events, career fairs and networking.
  • Partner with the HR teams and hiring managers in an effort to understand operational and support functions recruiting needs and position requirements.
  • Coordinate recruiting events with the HR professionals on an as needed basis.
  • Maintain employee personnel, medical/benefits filing as needed.
  • Strategize, develop and implement a recruiting process to include implementing a recruiting database of qualified candidates with emphasis on critical positions
  • Participate in and manage special projects as assigned.

  • Basic understanding of HR processes

  • Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office suite, including MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Effective organizational and interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business problems and apply knowledge to identify appropriate solutions

  • Previous exposure to project-related activities

  • Experience working with an applicant tracking system and/or human capital management system is preferred, but not required.

 

 

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

  • Working towards or earned a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field of study
