Job Description

This role is a mission-critical part of a growing Test Department. The successful candidate will supervise, coordinate, facilitate and provide leadership to the Test Department Team. Outline work procedures and assign duties to meet departmental and Company requirements. Work closely with Production Manager to schedule persons to meet product delivery.

Duties/Responsibilities
1. Provide daily leadership and direction to employees
2. Train, advise, and counsel employees on work processes and procedures as well as company policies
3. Regulate work flow to ensure maximum use of capacity and efficiency within department
4. Ensure project and assignments remain consistent with company practices, policies, and regulations (for example: SOX, OSHA, Management System Standards)
5. Interact and support all internal and external customers and set standards that promote good relations and communication
6. Research, troubleshoot problems, and corrective actions to allow continuous improvement
7. Promote the concept of individual responsibility for quality work and workmanship standards
8. Track and monitor departmental performance objectives
9. Participate in periodic audits to ensure compliance to company standards
10. Participate in recruiting, selection, and development of all test personnel through maintaining discipline and personnel relations, interviewing screened applicants
11. Provide input for hiring, terminations, transfers, salary adjustments, and promotions
12. Maintain timesheets for direct non-exempt employees
13. Design and build test stations
14. Adhere to the General Requirements of Team Members
15. Perform other assignments as required

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology or other closely related electronics field.
2. Minimum five years previous supervisory experience, preferably in a test environment.
3. Knowledge of functional testing and Highly Accelerated Stress Screening (vibration, thermal, humidity)
4. Knowledge and Experience with ISO 9001 quality management and similar quality standards
5. Understands the end-to-end test development cycle from specification to development/documentation to manufacturing installation.
6. Strong analytical and system troubleshooting capabilities required
7. Strong communication skills using multiple methods of communication.
8. Ability to work with high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
9. Ability to multi-task and have excellent organizational skills with a high level of energy
10. Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business
11. Computer skills - intermediate knowledge of e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Internet Explorer, plus LabVIEW and/or KeySight Vee

Must be a US Person (citizen or permanent resident) and successfully complete the background and drug screening processes.
