Engineer III 

Responsible for the engineering functions of the advanced composites product group. The position oversees all engineering aspects of the VersaCore Technology, a key technology in Ducommun’s growth strategy.

Job Summary

• Assist in the development of engineering part and tooling outlines, conceptual tool designs and tool fabrication milestones.
• Assist in the identification of necessary facility equipment.
• Perform cost analysis and tradeoff improvement studies.
• Provide technical interface with customers and vendors.
• Ability to communicate with shop personnel and assist them with correct tool usage and manufacturing procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Working knowledge of CAD and tool design.
• Motivated self-starter with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Must be able to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Required Experience and Education

• BS Manufacturing Engineer Degree.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience with Hot Forming of Titanium, stretch forming of aluminum, tooling & equipment used.

Base Compensation: USD 86,200.00 - 104,000.00 Paid Salaried
