Engineering Intern
Ducommun’s Huntsville Performance Center is seeking an Engineering Intern to work full-time during the summer. The Engineering intern will assist major plant layout project targeting workflow and space efficiency, learn conformal coating, and RFA assembly. Project will impact overall production success and product on-time delivery.

Job Summary
- Direct support of defense electronics manufacturing operation Organize a financial filing system that is easily accessible.
- Efficiency improvements through methods, work instructions, layouts, process flow, machine utilization.
- SMT process evaluation and improvement.
- Value Stream Mapping with hands-on implementation of improvements.
- Teamwork with other engineers, managers, supervisors, and associates to solve small and large assignments.
- Develop work instructions for manufacturing and equipment operation.
- Performs other duties as assigned or required by the position.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Able to work effectively within a team environment and across functional groups.
- Ability to compose routine reports and correspondence.
- Multitask, good decision making, self-motivated, and problem solve.
- Must be computer literate, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Understanding of engineering principles required.
- Ability to read and understand load plans
- Ability to read and understand production drawings
- Basic component identification skills
- Ability to build electronic assemblies
Required Experience and Education
- Recent graduate or currently enrolled working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Knowledge of computer applications.
- Team oriented willingness to learn.
