Job Description

Sr. Quality Engineer 

The Sr. Quality Engineer ensures company compliance with customer and internal quality requirements in a high reliability manufacturing environment, drives supplier related quality initiatives and lead supplier development efforts, tracks and assesses quality performance metrics and facilitate root cause analysis investigations, facilitates process improvements utilizing Lean/Six Sigma techniques, and instills a quality culture throughout the operational processes.

We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications. 

Our Facility in Carson, CA is our Engineered Products Group location, which houses our Human Machine Interface, Motion Control Device, Radiofrequency Departments. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Plan and direct development, application and maintenance of quality systems and procedures
  • Perform trend/performance analyses and initiates root cause investigations
  • Ensure compliance with program/project quality requirements
  • Develop and implement inspection and test methods, techniques, equipment and facilities
  • Drive supplier related quality initiatives and lead supplier development efforts
  • Act as primary company interface with both suppliers and customers for quality related issues
  • Knowledge of electromechanical products
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a timely and efficient manner
  • Excellent communications skills with all levels of employees and management
  • Be able to write and review FAI reports in accordance with AS9102
  •  Demonstrated knowledge and analytical skills for most types of inspection tools
  • Able to read and interpret documents such as blueprints and mechanical drawings including knowledge of
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Ability to develop quality standards, procedures and train personnel in their use
  • Familiarity with industry quality management standards such as AS9100/ISO 9001 and technical standards such as J-STD-001/IPC-610
  • Advanced computer skills required
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and their application

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Supplier Quality Engineering / Supplier Development experience
  • 10-15 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience working in a high reliability / aerospace product environment

Licenses, Certifications, etc.

  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
  • Six Sigma/Lean Green Belt certification

Base Compensation: USD 90,000.00 - 110,000.00 Paid Salaried
