Senior Accountant and Treasury Analyst

The Senior Accountant and Treasury Analyst is responsible for daily cash reporting and processing of cash transactions; calculating and supporting government contracting overhead rates; and assisting with Corporate/Shared Services Accounting functions, including but not limited to recording journal entries, reconciling accounts, assisting with preparation of SEC filings, and supporting audits.

We specialize in electronic and structural systems, producing complex products and components for commercial aircraft platforms, mission-critical military and space programs, and sophisticated industrial applications.  

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare daily cash reports for management and manage daily bank transactions
  • Reconcile cash and assist with other Treasury related inquiries
  • Prepare and reconcile the monthly reports for various general accounting activities
  • Work with team to determine and implement banking process efficiency improvements
  • Business partner master file maintenance
  • Calculate and provide allowable bid rates and Forward Years Bid Rates to be used in bids and proposals on government contracts
  • Calculate allowable Actual YTD rates and Actual Year End rates for each performance center
  • Work with financial planning to review allowable and unallowable costs for Shared Services and Corporate Management Fee to determine allowable allocations for each location
  • Calculate Federal Cost of Money Rates for use in bids and proposals
  • Assist with supporting government Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) compliance audits
  • Complete yearly registration renewal of SAM database
  • Assist with quarterly ASC 606 Revenue Recognition process and SEC reporting
  • Assist Shared Services team with analysis, controls and ad hoc projects

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong verbal and organizational skills, and ability to communicate accounting practices
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (customer oriented, positive attitude, team participation)
  • At least intermediate level of computer skills in email, Excel, and other Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with CAS and overhead rate development
  • Demonstrated analytical expertise including ability to plan, think critically, resolve problems effectively, and respond to and reduce customer complaints
  • Ability to multitask efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work autonomously, including ability to prioritize responsibilities
  • Initiative to propose and implement improvements and efficiencies
  • Detail oriented with attention to accuracy
  • Understanding of SOX 404 internal controls

Required Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 4 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and CAS
  • Cash management experience preferred
  • Experience with SOX 404 internal control requirements preferred

Base Compensation: USD 95,000.00 - 110,000.00 Paid Salaried
