Sr. Quality Engineer

Under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Manager, assures that planning and executing cost-effective quality programs that will help ensure contractual compliance to quality requirement and the integrity of delivered product.

Our Facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma manufactures state-of-art circuit boards for Aerospace and Defense.

Job Summary

Support quality for current and future manufacturing requirements and determine the most effective methods to improve productivity through the management of people and technology.     

  • Ensure that all contractual and regulatory quality requirements are defined and communicated on assigned programs.
  • Support all departments to ensure control of both in-process quality and final quality of product.
  • Provide customer interface on quality issues and problem resolution
  • Collaborate with sales, purchasing, production, bidding, and contract management to establish quality procedures to meet customer requirements
  • Interface with vendors to correct problems dealing with purchased materials.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support including root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions to resolve problems in product manufacture.
  • Assist in defining and monitoring the quality management system
  • Adhere to the General Requirements of Team Members
  • Perform other assignments as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated knowledge of electronics manufacturing and assembly processes together with work measurement and work standards with a strong preference supporting DOD work
  • Proficient in technical writing, good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical
  • Able to read and interpret, preferably certified to, IPC standards for electronics manufacturing, and read and interpret engineering drawings and customer standards
  • Demonstrated analytical expertise including ability to plan, resolve problems effectively, and establish priorities.
  • Understanding, and ability to apply, DOE, 6-Sigma, Lean Manufacturing desired.
  • Strong computer skills in email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Microsoft Project, and MRP/EAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers and project company image to attract business.
  • Leadership skills—people management, meeting facilitation, and customer support
  • Negotiation and conflict management skills together with demonstrated experience troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Abilities listed in the General Requirements of Team Members

Required Experience and Education

  • BSEE, BSIE, BSQET, ASQ CQE is preferred
  • 4 years experience in maintaining production standards in a electronics manufacturing setting
  • Prior experience with ISO, AS, and NADCAP environments

 Work Environment and Safety Equipment Required:

  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Light manufacturing environment
