At this time, Nobles is expanding our team and seeking high quality, dedicated individuals willing to be cross-trained in our clean and climate controlled facility.
Ducommun is seeking a Design Engineer. The position: designs, develops, and enhances new and existing products/product lines. Evaluates and recommends specifications and ensures products meet the technical and functional requirements. Recommends and follows reliable, efficient, and cost-effective procedures. Performs feasibility, functional, and quality testing of designs. Works with other members of the engineering staff to ensure project milestones are met and that projects are completed according to established timelines.

• Researches and analyzes data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
• Designs products and systems to interface machines, hardware and software. Produce engineering documentation to support the design.
• Provides adequate information to manufacturing and purchasing to reproduce the product.
• Provides technical support to all employees and customers when needed.
Basic Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Work is occasionally managed but mostly independent.
Must have experience leading development projects from concept through prototype testing. 3D solid modeling, detail documentation, analysis and troubleshooting skills are required.
Typically requires 4-6 years of related experience. Technical sales and ammunition handling experience is a plus.

Depending on the candidate’s skills, qualifications and experience, they will be hired into an entry (I) level, intermediate (II) level or expert (III) level job and pay scale.
