Electromechanical Assembler

The ideal candidate can perform light electronic and/or electromechanical assembly of moderate to high complexity. Soldering components on circuit boards using solder iron.

Job Summary
The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position.

Essential Functions:

  • Assembly procedures may involve soldering where access is somewhat difficult.
  • Buried wire routing and soldering, surface mount and through hole
  • Assembly of various detail parts into semi-complex assemblies using various assembly techniques.
  • Must be able to assemble parts using different types of tooling to achieve desired results.
  • Must be able to interpret instructions to mix various epoxies and paints for marking bonding
  • Able to work with working parts or components which require special care in handling or other procedures which require good dexterity and facility in use of a variety of hand tools
  • Work is not typically highly repetitive, but the cycle of repetition may be short enough to allow the development of some habit patterns
  • Must be able to work from wiring diagrams, detailed blueprints or other input documents of similar complexity
  • May make minor procedural decisions in soldering, fitting, etc., but always within established guidelines
  • Perform other assignments as required.
  • Vocational, High School diploma, or general education degree (GED); or 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
