Job Summary
- Serve in a team enviroment, in person, where experiences and skills can be shared for the overall success of the programs
- Support proposal development customers by calculating labor costs and evaluating the customer’s technical data package
- Review work instructions, specifications, drawings, verbal instructions, and interpret for labor requirements
- Develop Indented Bills of Material from Customer Furnished Technical Data Packages as needed
- Develop labor requirements, estimates, Friedman’s curve and make recommendations
- Assists with overall proposal development and grow professionallly with the proposal team
- Partipate in labor time studies as required
- Perform other professional Industrial Engineering tasks as required
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and specifications
- Planning and organization skills—prioritization, resource allocation, multi-tasking
- Must have intermediate Microsoft Office skills, including e-mail, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint\\
- Analytical skills to prepare most competitive/profitable proposal
- Thorough working knowledge of manufacturing processes and capabilities; technical knowledge to understand cable fabrication
- Understanding MFG drawings; Able to convert and read CAD, Gerber data
- Understand bill of material structures
- Understanding of electronic component verbiage; Understanding of basic circuit board process (Thru Hole, SMT)Work closely with Manufacturing, Test, and Quality Engineers
Required Experience and Education
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Engineering related Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years progressive experience performing estimating functions or B.S. in Industrial Engineering
Preferred but Not Required
- B.S. Electrical or Industrial Engineering
- Software experience with SupplyWin, BAAN MRP, Propricer, Access/SQL, Visio, and Microsoft Project
- Six Sigma Certifications or courses
