Job Summary & Essential Functions: The following describes in general terms the purpose and scope of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed. Employees must meet all customer/company quality expectations and/or requirements in order to ensure product integrity.

•         Compiles data from sources such as receivers and work orders and enters information into computer relevant to maintaining inventory and issue work order to production.

•         Releases work orders to production per schedule and issues supplies from stock.

•         Nests raw material requirements of work orders to best utilize raw material.

•         Maintains inventory and other stock records.

•         Responsible for the accuracy of transaction recording and inventory information including but not limited to counts and lot trace ability.

•         Fields questions and sets agenda for daily activities relative to raw material. Initiates cycle counts.

•         Maintains metrics boards.

Skills & Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, qualifications, competencies, abilities and any physical demands if required.

•         Computer knowledge and skills, i.e. MS Word and Excel

•         Ability to operate a forklift

•         Ability to operate an overhead crane and hoist, preferred

•         Ability to work independently and a good memory for detail

•         Pleasant personality, must interact with all levels of personnel

•         Conscientious, organized and meticulous- records must be accurate and maintained

•         Read and understand internal procedures and policies

•         Understand and follow through on both verbal and written instructions

•         Team oriented with a continuous improvement outlook

•         Able to learn new ERP screens, reports, functions and simple software programs with assistance

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered.

•         High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

•         Two (2) years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment

•         Ability to speak effectively before groups of co-workers and management

•         Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

•         Ability to read and write in English at a 12th grade level

•         Ability to perform basic math functions at a 12th grade level

•         Good attendance and a positive attitude with a team player approach
