Mechanical Assembler - 3rd Shift

Job Description

Assemble products per applicable documentation and quality workmanship standards.    

Essential Functions:

Perform advanced assemblies of product by interpreting blueprints, work sheets and Mil. Specs. Using various hand tools, hardwares, rivets and adhesives.
Logs time accurately in Putty against work orders. (Max. 1 supervisor correction per week)
Organize and plan projects to meet customer delivery expectations
Accurately complete production paperwork (i.e. routers)
Utlizes Shelf Life Material database (SLiM) daily to prevent expired shelf life items from being used in assembly process.
Maintains a clean work area and embraces 5S principles at all times.
Calibrates and utilizes tools as required for assembly of product.
Performs other assisgnments as required.

**$1.50 / hour shift premium for 3rd shift!**

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated advanced knowledge of mechanical manufacturing and assembly processes together with work measurement, work standards and appicable equipment.
Ability to read and understand blueprints, operations sheets, Mil. Specs., sketches and vendor tech. sheets.
Ability to properly use calipers, micrometers, indicators and height stands.
Abilty to properly use weight scale.
Demonstrated ability to understand and adhere to all Company polices (i.e. HR, Safety, Attendance)
Ability to perform work to within accetable time efficiency while maintaining accepable quality.
Ability to proficiently read and write, good documentation skills; attention to detail is critical.
Basic level of computer skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate with supervisor and teammates.
Basic problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
Ability to multi-task efficiently and adapt within a rapidly changing environment.

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered. 
HS Diploma or GED.
2 + years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly and demonstrated mechanical aptitude.

Licenses, Certifications, etc.:
Ability to successfully complete any required OTJ certification class necessary to assemble assigned products.
