Job Description

Job Summary & Essential Functions: The Senior Manager of Enterprise Computing is responsible for designing, deploying and managing the Ducommun IT infrastructure that includes enterprise level

Essential Functions

% of Time

• Work collaboratively with business stakeholders, IT teams and vendors, to design and operate the Ducommun IT Cloud Strategy/On-Prem strategy. Be responsible for the system design, operational performance planning, testing, and delivery per client’s requirements, specifications and budget.


• Duties include maintaining system performance and meeting Service Level Agreements/Operatonal Level Agreements with users and within IT. Troubleshooting issues, rapid issue resolution and general problem solving skills required


• Manages people – including daily performance, skills and competency development, periodic one on one discussions.


• Manages vendors, software licenses and contractual obligations.


• Performs other duties as assigned including leading projects and participation in project committees.

Required Skills & Qualifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

  • Design, deploy, and manage Enterprise class systems using cloud technology

  • Design, deploy, and manage Enterprise class systems in company owned data centers

  • Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, Enterprise class systems using on-premise technologies with cloud integration

  • Expereince in deploying large ERP systems

  • Experience managing enterprise class infrastructures

  • Effective problem solving and remediation skills

  • Experience with Enterprise class IT Change Management processes

  • Manage and develop high performance teams

  • Contribute to projects that create a better for reliable IT infrastructure and business partner

  • Experience with vendor software implementation, negotiation of contracts, and SOWs.

  • Strong ability to facilitating meetings with cross-functional (technical and business users) teams.

  • Experience executing various Software/System Development Life Cycle processes (SDLC) including Waterfall and agile project management methodologies and techniques.

  • Experience with requirements gathering, analysis and design, development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management.

  • Solid understanding of business or technical process changes, implementations, and deployments.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to successfully collaborate with a broad range of personnel at all levels across the enterprise and with varying level of technical knowledge and/or project management concepts.

  • Oral communication and presentation skills sufficient to explain business needs to technical personnel and technical information to business users.

  • Travel required up to 50%

Required Experience/Education/Training/Certifications:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the outlined experience level, education, training, minimum years of experience, product or industry knowledge plus any certifications in order to be considered

  • Five to ten years relevant experience with BA/BS in related field, or three to five years relevant experience with MA/MS in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience in in an IT environment.

  • Five (10) years of direct IT related work experience and practice

  • Relevant Enterprise system design and management

  • Software package deployment, infrastructure deployment both in the cloud and on-premise, cloud technology or cloud migration, merger and acquisition experience are a must.

  • High proficiency in problem resolution processes

  • Experience with IT Change Management processes

  • Experience with vendor software implementation, negotiation of contracts, and SOWs.

  • Experience managing people and demonstrated leadership skills
