Ability to be self-motivated, and perform work functions with no supervision.
Must be dependable and punctual in attendance.
Performs visual and dimensional inspection on sheet metal and machined parts and assemblies.
Verifies conformance to blueprints, mylars, specifications and check tools per P.O. requirements.
Ability to verify incoming product from vendors and customer for certification as well as product conformance.
Ability to undertake any project as it relates to customer hardware for C & C/A investigation, research as to adequacy of inspection methods, or training of other inspectors for specific job functions.
Completes required documentation for shipment of product to customer.
Will be required to document, file and maintain inspection records.
Documents non-conformances, and generate sketches as required.
Interfaces with customer quality representatives when required for part acceptance.
Interface with vendors, internal/external and customer/government agencies.
Assists fellow inspectors with the handling of parts and or tooling.

Skills & Qualifications

Must own personal tools and tool box.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form, or provide instructions to piers.
Ability to effectively present information to supervision and/or other employees of the organization.
Read and understand shop planning, and make suggestions of improvements for product flow.
Read and interpret blueprint callouts, and effectively explain interpretation to other departments or inspectors as required.  Must have a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Read and understand internal and customer specifications.
Utilize all common precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, dial indicators rulers, height gages etc.
Ability to perform complex surface plate set-ups and scribe layouts.
Ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, and thorough knowledge of shop trigonometry and its application.

Minimum 5years of aerospace quality assurance or manufacturing experience.  High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
